The lamp was much more affordable than options in local retail stores. The shade has some weird puckering issues and looks pretty cheap. I might look to replace the shade. My cats rub against lamp shades, and I notice that this lamp wobbles when they do. Note that the actual shade is darker than the photo shows. Grace
